This case is gold filled with a screw in steel back and no personal engravings. This case lug to lug is 42mm and wide not including the crown it is 36mm. The case reference number for this Elgin signed case is 1406. The movement as you can sweep is extra clean and keeps fine time. This Elgin was produced in 1955 and there are 17 jewels to this wrist watch and the caliber for this Elgin signed movement is 861. The band is 18mm in width never worn crisp. This piece is an American made wrist watch from the Elgin Watch factories. The case is asymmetrical in design and all gold filled with a snap in back and there is not a mark as well on this case. This is a gold filled case and the serial number is 0120053 and signed Elgin on the inside. The case is 40mm long and without the crown it is 29mm wide. The dial is excellent and original as well as the hands, even the crystal is glass!. The movement is serviced and keeps excellent time. The movement is with a serial number and it is P513015 and there are 21 jewels to this watch so it is good quality indeed. The band is gold filled and it compliments this piece to no end.
