HAMILTON MODEL 978 WITH 17 JEWELS AND FULLY SERVICED

STOCK NUMBER # HAMILTON2050-6------ Please notice the nice "Pagoda" design around the gold filled bezel as it is quite the piece of work!. This is a gold filled Hamilton and the case is signed "Fahy's, Montauk". The case serial number is 7,961,903 and it is 50mm across. The dial is a Hamilton enamel dial and in nice condition with lines here or there. The hands are spade and for this model Hamilton USA made piece. The movement is signed Hamilton Lancaster PA and it is a model "978" with 17 cleaned jewels. We have serviced this 16 size piece stem wind and stem set Hamilton. The serial number for this highly Damaskeened movement is 1,014,238 which gives me the year this Hamilton was produced and it is 1913. One wind of the crown and it takes right off like a serviced pocket watch should do!. The crystal is glass and perfect as well. This piece comes with a pouch free of charge. On a closing note there are 3 initials on the back of this case.

STERLING SILVER 1859 LONDON HALLMARKED AND WOW!!!!!! THE CONDITION!

STOCK NUMBER # FUSEE4500-6------ Just at the 150 year old mark and it runs and looks like new. I have for sale a hallmarked 1859 chain fusee from London England and it has the all the markings for this information by the case maker "PK". This is a case in case sterling silver fusee chain driven pocket watch and it is a big size indeed. The outer case is 60mm in width. The inner case is 52mm in width.  Both cases are hallmarked and belong to each other. The dial is enamel and excellent with a repair to the 12 area. both hands are solid gold. The crystal is glass and it is a "bulls eye and it is perfect and I know this is hard to believe but the crystal has no wear on it anywhere. I myself have taken apart this movement and inspected each and every link on the chain. I looked at the crown wheel under my microscope and all teeth are in perfect condition with no wear. The movement is indeed from London England and it is unsigned. The serial number for this movement is 43546 and you can hear it tick loudly and perfectly. Remember that fusee's never kept great time but they are a marvel considering the fact of no electricity, computers nor easy access to documents. These cottage fusee pieces were made with passion and by hand under a big window so the light could shine on the piece as the watchmaker made each and every piece himself. So here is a prime example that survived 150 years to be as strong now as it was over 150 years ago and the condition is for sure "museum" quality. A pouch and a chain are added at no extra charge. On a closing note the watch is wound by the back and if you put the key over the minute hand slot you can turn the hands this way.

WALTHAM HUNTER CASE "STERLING" POCKET WATCH WITH A DEER ON THE CASE.

STOCK NUMBER # WALTHAM7050-6------ You will find this Waltham P.S.Bartlet model fresh and clean indeed. This is an 18 size stem wind and stem set 1883 model pocket watch and freshly serviced by our trained staff. The case is gold filled and across it is 58mm. The case is signed "Cashier" and it has an engraving on the inside of the case and it reads, "From Mother Xmas 1900".  The serial  number is 213932. This Waltham Bartlett has 17 jewels and it has been adjusted at the Waltham Mass factories back when it was produced in the year 1903 as the serial number 12,030,093 tells me so. The crystal is glass of coarse and perfect. The dial is double sunk enamel and excellent as well as the original hands.  The is an early Canadian dial as it has the inner Arabic numbers 13 to 24 and made for the Canadian Railroad systems here in Canada. This is a good time keeper and a great USA made piece.

ILLINOIS "MILLER" RARE TRANSITIONAL PIECE AND SERVICED

STOCK NUMBER # ILLINOIS5400-6------This is an exceptional piece in Museum quality condition. Even the chain is very ornate, vintage and sterling silver. The case is indeed a heavy coin silver hunter case and all hinges are excellent. Across this case is 57mm and long it is 75mm with the crown of coarse. The length of the sterling chain is 12 inches and it is strong. The case is signed "warranted Trade Mark coin silver".  the  serial number for this case is 9307. The dial is enamel and truly remarkable but this 1874 made dial is near flawless but it is true. I looked at this dial with my 10x power Zeiss loop and I saw no lines nor any flaws to mention. The movement is with a serial number ant it is 54,128  and again from the year 1874. What I find most interesting is there is a name on the barrel bridge and it reads "Frank A Chase".  I did some research on this name but to no avail it seems this is a private name of the owner who bought this piece in 1874 or so. There are 15 clean large Ruby jewels to this Illinois USA made watch and it is a transitional which means it can be wound by the crown or by the slot in the back of the case. The lever to set the hands is at the 4 position as you can see by the scan. A pouch will be added with this piece no extra charge.

As the expression goes when you have it all "let them eat cake!"

LEPINE STYLE STERLING SILVER & 18 k RED GOLD TRIM POCKET WATCH

STOCK NUMBER # PW1234-6------ If this piece was actually signed LePine , This piece would be worth a canoe full of money but I is not unfortunately. I have for sale an unsigned Cylinder escapement pocket watch in a sterling silver case with 18 karat red gold trim. This case is thin so it can be put in a pants pocket with no bulk at all. This case across is 46mm. The dial is very ornate and well engraved. The hands are sold 14 karat gold and Louis 14th in style. This is a key wind form the back and key set as well. This piece was produced in cottage country in Switzerland and again it is an unsigned movement. The era for this piece is probably close to 1870 just around the time when the American pocket watch industry was born in Boston. This is a 14 size by American standards and as you should know that cylinder pocket watches were not the best time keepers but they go on and on and on as they just don't quit which is quite amazing!. The chain is included as well as the key and pouch. This is a well serviced piece by Darlor watch so no worries here at all. Wind it up and just purely enjoy!.
