The case serial number is 6,782,652 and signed "Defiance". The movement is a model 1908 ,grade 1623 and as mentioned before there are 23 clean and inspected jewels. The serial number for this serviced piece is 30,560,981 which tells me this American made Vanguard stem wind and lever set movement  was produced in the factory in the year 1940. Hello again!

I received the watch there on Friday and let it run in for a few days before wearing, and finally got to wear it to work today. Might I say what a gorgeous piece she is in person. The case is just the right amount of Art Deco and the dial is superb. Then there's the movement, which you've done a spectacular job with, it's honestly hard to believe what you're looking at in person. It's like the watch is the most 'crisp' thing and the rest of the world is just blurry and low quality. It was a joy to wear and that's all I can ask for. Being such a high grade and being serviced gives such peace of mind despite its age. If only the 60 hour mainspring didn't seem to take 60 hours to wind lol

I have for sale a freshly serviced Waltham 18 size stem wind and stem set 845 movement, model 1892 pocket watch and it keeps railroad time for sure. This is a gold filled case. Across this 18 size case is 55mm. The case serial number is 236,218 and signed "Banner, Gold filled". The dial is double sunk railroad enamel for the American railroad system . The hands are thick spade railroad piece and the crystal is glass. This movement is a model 1892 with 2 diamond end stones for both pivots on the balance wheel. The serial number for this  845, 21 jewel gem is 15,116,798,  which places the year of production at the Waltham Watch factory to the year 1913. A few turns of the crown and the movement balance wheel takes off in a perfect motion The jewels if you notice are all in seated screw in solid gold settings. This is a stem wind and lever set railroad pocket watch and agian serviced the proper way so it keeps awesome time. As the dial is 1-12 Arabic numbers this was used in the American railroad system and keeps railroad time indeed.

WALTHAM "CRESCENT ST" RUN OF ONLY 300!    18 SIZE STEM WIND STEM SET TRAIN ON BACK WELL SERVCIED STUNNING MOVEMENT! 1897

STOCK NUMBER WALTHAM10------As clean as can be is this fully serviced Waltham Crescent street railroad grade pocket watch from the year 1897! Across this silveroid case is 58mm so it is an 18 size for sure. "Silveroid" is a fancy word meaning there is about 5% silver in this nickel case so they can call it "silver-oid". The dial is double sunk and made for the Canadian market as it has the inner 13-24 Arabic numbers. This is an older enamel dial as it has the outer elongated Roman numerals. The hands are original and the crystal is glass not a flaw. The movement is serviced the proper way and with 17 clean and inspected jewels, as well notice please all jewels are in seated solid gold screw down settings. This is a model 1883 movement and only a run of 300 pieces so not so common. A few winds of the crown and off it goes to keep great time. The serial number for this 1883 crescent street model is 7,451,921 which again tells me it was produced at the Waltham factory in the year 1897.......I should look as good as this pocket watch when I'm 123 years old!!!!!!

HAMILTON 992E " ELINVAR"  SCARCE WHITE GOLD FILLED HAMILTON CASE WELL SERVCIED!   1938

STOCK NUMBER# HAMILTON440-------I have for sale a fully serviced the proper way rare Hamilton 992E, 16 size model stem wind and lever set. You can clearly see the pallat plate (fork) is signed "Elinvar" which is not common. This is a basic 992 model and "jazzed" up to a much higher quality. The Geneva stripes on this movement are wider than the regular damskeen Geneva stripes on the 992 model. There are 21 clean and inspected jewels to this gem and all are perfect. Please notice the center wheel jewel is in a raised solid gold  jewel setting while the others are all in seated solid gold screw in settings. Even the center wheel itself is casted of solid 10 karat gold. The serial number for this movement is 26,34,215 which places this fine piece to the year 1938. The hands are Hamilton and near perfect.  This is an enamel Montgomery enamel dial with a few small lines but not earth shattering at all. The crystal is glass and not flaw. The back of this case is a screw in and with a mirror finish as there are no personal engravings. Across this 16 size case is 53mm. WALTHAM 18 SIZE "C.P.R. BEAVER"  1892 MODEL POCKET WATCH WITH RARE "VERN PICKERSGILL" ENAMEL DIAL

STOCK NUMBER # WALT6660-------I have for sale a very limited produced "C.P.R Beaver" shield Waltham pocket watch and it was made for the Canadian Pacific Railroad...."C.P.R". The case is gold filled and across it is 57mm. This case has no personal engravings at all and it is signed on the inside of the back of this screw in case "Fortune Gold Filled" and the case serial number is 1,301,531 and as you can see this case is in immaculate all over condition. The dial is a genuine enamel "Vern Pickersgill" 24 hour Canadian west coast dial and also very limited in production. The hands are thin to medium Waltham spade railroad hands and the glass crystal is perfect not a flaw. Now for the good part, this is a watch movement that was very limited in production like the Vern Pickersgill dial that sits on this 1892 model movement. This is a genuine authentic model 1892 "C.P.R." Beaver shield piece with 17 clean and inspected jewels and it does read on the barrel bridge "adjusted 5 positions" which is a railroad grade must! Oh I forgot to mention the Vern Pickersgill dial is double sunk which is also a railroad has to be feature. This is an 18 size pocket watch stem wind and lever set at the 2 position. Every cog, wheel, jewel and the balance complete have been inspected and all pieces and all part serial numbers match on both plates so rest assured this is the real deal. The serial number for this Waltham CPR 18 size model 1892 piece is 20,000,285 which tells me it was produced at the American Waltham factory at Waltham Mass in the year 1914 and for sure keeps great time. I must stress this is a rare piece and not common.

WALTHAM  "VANGUARD " UP AND DOWN DIAMOND BALANCE JEWEL----> RARE REPLACEMENT UP AND DOWN DIAL   1911

STOCK NUMBER # WALTHAM20-------Rarely but it happens, a conductor / engineer will drop his watch, it can also fall off the chain and many other reasons may be why the dial cracked, chipped and the watch then needed to be cleaned and free from any debris that could stop the cogs and wheels from keeping perfect time. The engineer would then at the next stop where the county certified railroad pocket watch person would be stationed at, the dial would be replaced and a new one would be sent ASAP but until then the "replacement" dial would be put onto the pocket watch and given back to the conductor or engineer. I have such a piece right here and freshly serviced, oiled and timed to perfection. The dial is a genuine Waltham factory replacement dial made for the American railroad system and as you can see the wind window is very different from the enamel wind window. This is a highly sought after dial and with the perfect operation movement it is a killer piece and multi times on the rare side. These days it is soooo easy to use the word rare but when I tell you "Rare"........ it is!. This dial is NOT made over seas, not made in a cave near Zimbabwe but factory original Waltham. This is a gold filled railroad case and across it is 50mm and this case is gold filled signed "Star Watch Case". The serial number for this case is 8,307,127. This is a Waltham 16 size stem wind and lever set wind indicator model 1908 movement and there are 23 closely examined and inspected ruby jewels. I will tell you both the balance cap jewels are made of genuine diamonds. Make note of the center wheel is solid gold and there are two caps on the  pallat and the escape wheel, held down by screws. The rest of the perfect ruby jewels are all in raised gold jewel settings and perfect!. On the barrel bridge it is written "adjusted 5 positions". The serial number for this genuine railroad pocket watch is 18,037,501. This is the most popular of all Waltham wind indicators as it is a "Vanguard" series and as the scan shows you it is in pristine running perfect order. The crystal is glass not a flaw and the hands are totally original. On a closing note there are no personal engravings on this case to be found. Serviced, rare dial and ready to go ;-)

When the small hand beneath the 12 position is all the way to "0" this means the mainspring is totally unwound and indicates it must be wound to keep this pocket watch going....this was a key feature for the railroads so they could trust their pocket watch would be spot on day and night.

I have for sale a 23 pressed in jewel Vanguard , 1912 model pocket watch and it is a 16 size piece stem wind and lever set. Across this signed "Fortune , Sturdy" gold filled case is 52mm and the serial number is 4,108,761.  The dial is a signed "Vanguard" melamine piece and near perfect. The hands are thick Waltham railroad hands and the crystal is glass with no flaws. The movement has a wide damskeen pattern and again 23 clean and inspected pressed in jewels. Please note the center wheel is solid gold. On the escape wheel bridge it is marked "Adj 8 positions" that's 2 more than the Avg 6! The serial number for this Vanguard model 1912 movement is 32,058,376 which places this piece to the year 1945.  On a closing note there are no personal engravings on this mirror finish back case.

The hands are Waltham factory spade railroad hands. The crystal is glass and flawless. I will also mention the screw in back of the case is with a mirror finish no engravings. And this enamel dial has the inner 13-24 Arabic numbers which indicates this is a Canadian railroad model pocket watch. This is a 16 size Nickel Silver case which means this case is 95% nickel and 5% Silver. Across this "Sturdy" signed case is 53mm. This is a stem wind and a lever set railroad  piece. All jewels have been carefully examined and all are in perfect order. This is an over coil Breguet hairspring with a double roller. The serial number for this Vanguard model 1908 is 29,452,820 which tells me it was produced in the year 1937 at the USA Waltham factory. As this is a railroad pocket watch please expect a super clean railroad timekeeper.

WALTHAM  "RARE" CPR BEAVER RAILROAD 18 SIZE GENUINE RAILROAD NICKEL SILVER CASE WELL SERVCIED 18 SIZE 1908

STOCK NUMBER # WALTHAM29500-2------I have for sale an  all over condition genuine Waltham Canadian Pacific Railroad "Beaver" pocket watch in a cleaned chromed case and as the scans show you this piece is really quite clean all over! The case is signed "Sturdy Nickel Silver, " and the case serial number is 4,515,116 model . The crystal is glass and flawless. The dial is double sunk and enamel. Notice there are inner 13-24 Arabic numbers? this is for the Canadian railroad as the American models only have 1-12. The hands are Waltham and thin railroad spade. This is a stem wind and a stem set model 1883 Waltham movement and made for the CPR railroad here in Canada and you can tell by the Beaver in the CPR shield on the barrel bridge and not that common at all. There are 17 clean  and inspected jewels to this 18 size nickel movement and the movement serial number is 16,419,861 and this serial number tells me this CPR beaver was produced in the year 1908. Across this case is 55 mm so it is a big size. Rare and serviced will this Beaver come to you in with a two year warranty unless dropped of coarse Gxd forbid lol!

STOCK NUMBER # ILLINOIS30770------- I have for sale a well serviced Bunn Special signed Movement and case! Thi is a 14 karat white gold filled Bunn signed case and it is a 16 size at 53mm across. The case serial number is 8,283,450 and again signed "Wadsworth (case maker) Bunn Special model". There are no personal engravings on this case and the back is with a mirror finish as the scan shows you. The dial is a Montgomery enamel piece with no chips and with a few faint lines and I mean faint. The hands are medium spade railroad hands and the glass crystal is perfect not a flaw. This is a 16 size stem wind and lever set genuine railroad pocket watch and as you can see on the movement it is signed "Illinois Bunn Special". There are 21 clean and inspected jewels to this 16 size movement and notice all jewels are in raised solid gold jewel settings as well the train is made of solid 10 karat gold (train means the wheels less the escapement wheel). On the barrel bridge it reads "adjusted temperature and six positions". This is a genuine railroad case, dial and movement and again keeps perfect railroad time. Across this gold filled Elgin signed railroad case is 51mm. There are no personal engravings on this case and the serial number is 6,864,659. I will mention that in the middle of the inscription on the inside of the back of the case it reads "Illinois Watch case" but around the rim of the inscription it does read "Cased and timed by the Elgin National watch Co". The dial is enamel with a line or two but not Earth shattering at all. The hands are medium to thick railroad spade pieces and the crystal is glass. The movement is a 16 size double roller Breguet over coil hairspring and as mentioned keeps railroad time for sure. There are 21 jewels to this BW Raymond model Elgin pocket watch and it is a lever set and stem wind model of coarse. Please notice all the jewels are in seated screw in gold jewel settings and the train (gears) are all casted in solid gold. The serial number for this railroad pocket watch is 25,754,652 which dates this serviced pocket watch to the year 1922. A few winds of the crown and the balance wheel takes off in a perfect motion.

Across this case is 56mm. The dial is enamel double sunk and near perfect. The hands are Elgin thick spade pieces. The crystal is glass and flawless. The case serial number is 0,225,179 and with no personal engravings at all but worn on the back and small at that. Across this bar over the crown case is 53mm so it is a 16 size. If you notice I did mention "bar over crown" as the crown keeps the crown safe and sound and hard to knock or break. The dial is enamel and very clean at that as it is a double sunk enamel piece. The hands are med railroad spade hands and the crystal is glass. This is a 1908 model movement signed "Crescent Street" and produced by the Waltham watch factory near Boston Mass, even the center wheel is solid gold! There are 21 clean and inspected jewels and all the jewels are in large raised solid gold jewel settings. This piece is well serviced and for sure keeps railroad time. This is a caliber 1908 factory original movement with 21 clean and inspected jewels and they are all in raised solid gold jewel settings. I have cleaned this piece to the point it keeps nearly perfect time. This is a double roller with an over coil Breguet hair spring and I made more than sure the over coil is 2.5 x's higher than the flat coils. The serial number for this Crescent street railroad pocket watch is 20,143,875 and this tells me it was produced in the year 1917. The case is not perfect and it is gold filled and signed "fortune A.W.C.Co " and the case serial number is 1,137,158. The dial has a few lines and it is a double sunk original enamel factory piece.  The hands are Waltham thick spade railroad pieces and the crystal is perfect. This is a stem wind and a lever set railroad piece.

The back of this case is perfect and with a mirror finish design and no personal engravings at all. The movement is a stem wind and lever set model and it is a 16 size by American standards. The dial is enamel with large Arabic box numbers and Elgin spade railroad hands. This is a stem wind and lever set B.W Raymond railroad used pocket watch and it is a 16 size with 21 jewels. Each and every jewel has been inspected and oiled properly with Mobious watch oil. Across this B.W. Raymond Elgin gold filled case is 50mm and the case serial number is 8,105,655  and the case is signed in the inside of the back "B.W. Raymond model, case and timed  Elgin etc "patent bow". This is a fixed bow model pocket watch case as the bow will not move flex up or down it is solid onto the case. The jewels I may want to add are in gold jewel settings and flush to the movement. This is a double roller movement of coarse and it is stem wind and lever set. This is a 16 size lever set and stem wind Hamilton model 992 pocket watch and just off my bench and serviced. Across this gold filled case is 55mm. The case is signed "Wadsworth quality" and the serial number is 275,931 and with a mirror finish with no engravings factory or personal. This is a Hamilton Montgomery enamel factory dial and with flaws. The hands are Hamilton factory and med spade railroad hands. The crystal is glass not a flaw at all to be found. The movement is in perfect order as it is well serviced and never a short cut taken at all. This is a Hamilton model 992 with 21 clean and inspected jewels. The serial number for this movement is 2,369,332 and this serial number tells me it was produced in the year 1930 and it really keeps great time for sure. This is a double roller and adjusted to 5 positions as written on the barren bridge. Notice the jewels are in gold jewel settings and the center jewel is in a high raised gold jewel setting and the center wheel is sold gold so it is a top shelf piece clean it is and ready to go ;-)

STOCK NUMBER # ELGIN6------This piece is adjusted to 8 positions and it is the Elgin railroad model 571 with 21 extra clean and inspected jewels. The case is gold filled and a very nice diamond patterned bezel. This case is signed "Elgin Keystone" etc and the case serial number is 34,011.  As the scan shows  you there is a light engraving on the back and in short it reads , "May 26 1996" etc. The dial is enamel and factory Elgin as well as the spade hands. The movement is extra fine in all over condition and it is a model 571, 16 size stem wind and lever set. Please notice the center wheel is solid gold. The serial number for this 8 adjustment Elgin railroad pocket watch movement is U,624,556 and the "U" stands for 40 million  which places this beauty to the year of production of 1946. WALTHAM 18 SIZE 23 JEWEL MODEL 1892 VANGUARD SIGNED AND WELL SERVICED 1908

STOCK NUMBER # WA220-------This is a well serviced Vanguard 18 size stem wind and lever set genuine railroad pocket watch for the American railroad systems. The balance cock has a diamond end stone so this is the best model in the 23 jewel series Vanguard models. This case is a chromed railroad case and in excellent condition. The crystal is glass and not a flaw at all. The dial is enamel and double sunk and extra fine in condition. The hands are Waltham thin spade railroad hands and for this model. This is a 23 jewel Waltham model 1892 "Vanguard" pocket watch and it is fully serviced to the hilt for sure. The diamond again is on the balance cock and acts as a cap jewel over the friction jewel to keep the balance perfectly poised as it will never have a groove in it where the point of the balance pivot hits the flat end of the diamond. In other words if you take a wood board and turn the end of the broom handle back and forth back and forth over the board the wooden broom handle will eventually create a hole through the wood and this is the reason the diamond is used so it will never happen and the balance will be straight up for 100's of years! The movement is well damaskeened and marked on the barrel bridge "5 positions". The serial number for this serviced 18 size pocket watch is 16,056,427 and this indicates it was produced at the Waltham American factory in the year 1908 and over a 100 years alter it ticks up a perfect storm!.

The crystal is glass and perfect. The enamel dial is original and it is the hard to find "Gothic" Illinois dial with a line or two as it is original to this 1899 Bunn pocket watch. The hands are railroad spade. The case is gold filled and it is  a railroad pocket watch case produced by the " Derby Sturdy" case company. The case serial number is 5,108,651. This Illinois full plate 18 size movement is well serviced and keeps excellent time and there are 17 clean and inspected ruby jewels. Please notice the jewels are all in gold jewel large settings and quite striking indeed. The serial number for this Illinois Bun n pocket watch is 1,380,893 and it tells me it was produced at the Illinois watch company in the year 1899. This is also a double roller model as it is signed under the balance area. The serial number for this highly jewelled model is 3,477,270 and this place this American made gem to the year 1919 and it does run like day one off the assembly line. Notice the jewels are in gold raise settings and the train as well is solid gold so make no mistakes this is a wonderful Illinois "Burlington" pocket watch in a railroad chromed case.
