WALTHAM 21 JEWEL CRESCENT STREET 16 SIZE RAILROAD POCKET WATCH AND SERVICED  1917

STOCK NUMBER # WA22222-------I have for sale a gold filled 16 size Waltham American made railroad pocket watch and it is a "Crescent Street" model. This is a caliber 1908 factory original movement with 21 clean and inspected jewels and they are all in raised solid gold jewel settings. I have cleaned this piece to the point it keeps nearly perfect time. This is a double roller with an over coil Breguet hair spring and I made more than sure the over coil is 2.5 x's higher than the flat coils. The serial number for this Crescent street railroad pocket watch is 20,143,875 and this tells me it was produced in the year 1917. The case is not perfect and it is gold filled and signed "fortune A.W.C.co " and the case serial number is 1,137,158. The dial has a few lines and it is a double sunk original enamel factory piece.  The hands are Waltham thick spade railroad pieces and the crystal is perfect. This is a stem wind and a lever set railroad piece.

HAMILTON MODEL 992 RAILROAD GOLD FILLED CASE WELL SERVICED 1904

STOCK NUMBER # HAM7390-------Here I  have an early 992 model Hamilton railroad pocket watch in a super clean gold filled case. This is a 16 size open face watch and across this case is 52mm. The case has no personal engravings and signed "Keystone, J Boss". The case serial number is 9588,686. This dial is not perfect but original to this piece as well as the hands are thin railroad spade hands and from the Hamilton factory. The movement is again a model 992 with 21 clean and inspected jewels and the jewels are all in gold jewel settings. On the balance bridge it is written "adjusted 5 position" and this is a double roller balance system for sure. The year of production I get from the serial number and it is 369,826 and the year of production is 1904. This is a stem wind and a lever set model.

WALTHAM 18 SIZE 21 JEWEL MODEL 1892 CRESCENT STREET SIGNED WITH A DISPLAY BACK  1896

STOCK NUMBER # WALT8885-------This is a very early model 1892 "Crescent Street" Waltham pocket watch and well serviced for sure. I have striped this piece to the plates and cleaned this gem properly no doubts please about this fact. Across this 18 size stem wind and stem set piece is 57mm. This is a steel display case. The dial is double sunk and very clean made of enamel for sure. The hands are beetle hands and made for this Crescent street model pocket watch. Both sides of this case are covered with glass and they are perfect. There are 21 clean and inspected jewels to this 1892 model pocket watch from the Waltham watch factory near Boston Mass. Notice the jewels are all in gold jewel settings. The serial number for this 1892 model Crescent street pocket watch is in the 7 million rage which places this piece to the year 1896 I kid you not. Well serviced and quite unique as you can see the movement running at all times with this display case.

STOCK NUMBER # HAMP5520------I have super railroad pocket watch by the Hampden watch factory in the USA. This is an 18 size two tone movement with 23 clean and inspected jewels. This is the "Railway Special" model and top of the line for sure. The damskeen pattern on this movement is just stunning. The case is gold filled with a mirror finish screw in back and no personal engravings. The case is signed "Montauk" and the case serial number is 7,543,008 and across this gold filled case is 55mm. The dial is double sunk enamel and near excellent. The hands are thin railroad Hampden hands and the glass crystal is perfect. The case across is 60mm so it is a big size indeed. The movement is signed "Railway Special" and as mentioned before there are 23 clean and inspected jewels. Each jewel is in a solid gold setting and the barrel bridge gold jewel setting is huge and raised. The serial number for this Hampden railway special is 1,333,665 and this serial number tells me it was produced in the USA in the year 1899. This is a two tone damaskeened movement and it is a stem wind and lever set railroad model. I have cleaned this piece always with TLC and never any short cuts taken.

STOCK NUMBER # LO8880-6------ I have for sale a north American approved Longines Express monarch railroad pocket watch and it is an 18 size by American standards. This is a gold filled case and very clean and crisp in all over condition. Across this gold filled case is 45mm. The dial is enamel and repaired and notice it has the Canadian inner 13-24 hours which is a nice feature! The hands are Longines and original and the crystal I glass and perfect. The case serial number is 108,114. The movement has been stripped to the plates and serviced properly so expect a really good time keeper. There are 21 jewels and they have been cleaned, oiled and inspected for sure. On the plate it does read "Adjusted 5 positions" and made for "Hemsley's". Hemsleys is a dept store here in Canada and sold via Hemsleys to the railroad industry workers or conductors. The serial number for this 18 size stem and and lever set piece is 1.5 million which places this Swiss made Longines factory piece to the year 1904. STOCK NUMBER # ILL9010------This was used by a conductor on the American railroad system as this case and serial number indicates this a factual piece of information. This case is a 16 size and it is 53mm across. The case is signed "Sturdy Nickel Silver" which mean probably 95% nickel and 5% Silver. The case serial number is 4,804,112. The dial is enamel and it is a double sunk Montgomery style piece. The hands are medium to thick railroad spade hands and are for this model Illinois pocket watch. This is a stem wind and  lever set 16 size railroad pocket watch. The movement is well serviced and it is a going motor barrel as indicated by the large jewel and three motor barrel screws holding it down in place. There are 19 jewels this this beauty and they are all in raised screw in gold jewel settings. Please note the fact that the train is solid gold, all of them not just the center wheel. On the motor barrel bridge it reads "adjusted 5 positions etc" so you know this is a top quality piece. The serial number for this railroad piece is 4,108,062 and this number tells me it was produced in the USA in the year 1923 and keeps great time like a high grade railroad pocket watch should ;-)

Across this B.W.Raymond Elgin gold filled case is 50mm and the case serial number is 8,105,655  and the case is signed in the inside of the back "B.W. Raymond model, case and timed  Elgin etc etc ", "patent bow". This is a fixed bow model pocket watch case as the bow will not move flex up or down it is solid onto the case. The case is signed "Wadsworth quality" and the serial number is 275,931 and with a mirror finish with no engravings factory or personal. This is a Hamilton Montgomery enamel factory dial and with flaws. The hands are Hamilton factory and med spade railroad hands. The crystal is glass not a flaw at all to be found. The movement is in perfect order as it is well serviced and never a short cut taken at all. This is a Hamilton model 992 with 21 clean and inspected jewels. The serial number for this movement is 2,369,332 and this serial number tells me it was produced in the year 1930 and it really keeps great time for sure. This is a double roller and adjusted to 5 positions as written on the barren bridge. Notice the jewels are in gold jewel settings and the center jewel is in a high raised gold jewel setting and the center wheel is sold gold so it is a top shelf piece clean it is and ready to go ;-)

WALTHAM 18 SIZE 23 JEWEL MODEL 1892 VANGUARD SIGNED AND WELL SERVICED 1908

STOCK NUMBER # WA220-------This is a well serviced Vanguard 18 size stem wind and lever set genuine railroad pocket watch for the American railroad systems. The balance cock has a diamond end stone so this is the best model in the 23 jewel series Vanguard models. This case is a chromed railroad case and in excellent condition. The crystal is glass and not a flaw at all. The dial is enamel and double sunk and extra fine in condition. The hands are Waltham thin spade railroad hands and for this model. This is a 23 jewel Waltham model 1892 "Vanguard" pocket watch and it is fully serviced to the hilt for sure. The diamond again is on the balance cock and acts as a cap jewel over the friction jewel to keep the balance perfectly poised as it will never have a groove in it where the point of the balance pivot hits the flat end of the diamond. In other words if you take a wood board and turn the end of the broom handle back and forth back and forth over the board the wooden broom handle will eventually create a hole through the wood and this is the reason the diamond is used so it will never happen and the balance will be straight up for 100's of years! The movement is well damaskeened and marked on the barrel bridge "5 positions". The serial number for this serviced 18 size pocket watch is 16,056,427 and this indicates it was produced at the Waltham American factory in the year 1908 and over a 100 years alter it ticks up a perfect storm!.

This coin silver Nevada signed silver case is 55mm across. The serial number for this case is 146,253 and again it is not a common case company at all so there is much value here. The dial is a double sunk Canadian Railroad dial and the hands are Waltham medium spade hands. The crystal is glass and not a flaw new old stock. The movement is an open face model 1892 with 21 pure and inspected jewels. And please notice the jewels are in gold jewel settings added with the perfect damaskeened patter this is a stunning 18 size lever set and stem wind pocket watch. The serial number for this 1892 18 size USA made by the Waltham watch company is 10,019,610 and this serial number places this piece to the year 1901, after 109 years later it almost and I say almost looks as good as me!!!!!!!! less the Botox, eye brow, chin  lift etc ...... lol kidding but it is a remarkable piece indeed.

This is a wonderful super serviced piece from the Illinois watch factories and it is a "Burlington " signed piece. this is a 16 size stem wind and lever set model with 21 clean and inspected ruby jewels. This is also a double roller model as it is signed under the balance area. The serial number for this highly jewelled model is 3,477,270 and this place this American made gem to the year 1919 and it does run like day one off the assembly line. Notice the jewels are in gold raise settings and the train as well is solid gold so make no mistakes this is a wonderful Illinois "Burlington" pocket watch in a railroad chromed case. On a closing not this case across is 55mm and the crystal is glass not a flaw.

STOCK NUMBER # WALTHAM960------- A very clean Waltham vanguard pocket watch is for sale and it is from the year 1952 and this is a 16 size stem wind and lever set piece. The case is a genuine railroad case and gold filled. This railroad case is signed  Star Watch case" and the case serial number is 2,356,159. The crystal is glass and not a flaw to be found for sure. The dial is large box car Arabic numbers and made of enamel in short this is a clean Waltham dial with a repair in the center. The hands are thick railroad spade original Waltham hands and clean is the word for sure. The movement is in perfect working order as it has been fully serviced, oiled and regulated for perfection. This is a 23 press jewel Vanguard railroad Waltham pocket watch and the movement serial number is 33,770,850 and this serial number tells me it was produced in the year 1952. Another nice feature "adjusted 8 positions" normally we see 5 or 6 but rare and scarce for 8 adjustments so you know this is top quality. There are no personal engravings on this case as the scan shows you. A super clean and well running piece is for sale right here.

STOCK NUMBER # HAM370------This is an early model 940 Hamilton pocket watch from the Hamilton watch factories in Lancaster Penn. This is an 18 size stem wind and lever set like all railroad models must be. This movement is well damaskeened and with 21 cleaned and inspected jewels. The serial number on this well serviced and cleaned pocket watch movement is 168,030. This gold filled case across is 55mm and indeed this is an 18 size case. The serial number for this case is "Derby" and the case serial number is 4,804,722. The dial is a Hamilton factory double sunk enamel and the hands are Hamilton medium to thin spade railroad hands. The glass crystal is flawless. All in all this is a wonderful Railroad service pocket watch and yes for sure it keeps amazing time.
