WALTHAM VERY EARLY KEY WIND AND SET COIN SILVER HUNTER MODEL AND WELL SERVCIED ... PRODUCED 6 YEARS AFTER AMERICAN CIVIL WAR 1871

STOCK NUMBER # WALTHAM66690-------I have for sale a stunning very early Waltham pocket watch and produced just after the American Civil war. This piece is a 10 size by American standards so across this case is 48mm. There are no personal engravings on this case and all hinges are in perfect order. This Coin Silver case is signed "A.M Watch Co, Waltham Mass" and the case serial number is a very low K12. The dial is enamel and hard to believe but no lines as it is 99% perfect and I did check this original enamel Waltham dial under my Zeiss microscope and it is true. The hands are thin railroad spade and the crystal is glass and flawless. As you can see this is a wind from the back and set from the back model with 15 clean and inspected jewels. Please notice the balance wheel is made of solid gold which is uncommon. The serial number for this elegant size Waltham early pocket watch is 547,550 which tells me it was produced at the Waltham USA factory in the year 1871. As it has been serviced, inspected and oiled properly you will be amazed how well this piece runs and how well it looks. A family heirloom perhaps!.
