swing out case made of Nickel Longines Swiss pocket watch and it is rather a
large 18 size piece. The case has a perfect glass crystal and signed "A.W.C.Co".
The case serial number is 1,004,658.The back of this case is with a mirror
finish with no personal engravings at 60mm across. The enamel dial is
original and very clean with Arabic fancy script numbers. The hands are gold
filigree. The movement is an 18 size by American standards with 15 clean and
inspected jewels. Every cog, wheel, pivot has been checked , cleaned , oiled and
replace back to their proper position and the final results is an excellent time
keeper. The serial number for this Longines movement is 2,373,290 which tells me
this Longines pocket watch was produced in the year 1903.

VALE HOMPYON COVENTRY STERLING SILVER CASE IN CASE
BIRMINGHAM ASSAY MARKINGS 1814
STOCK NUMBER # CE10-3------ I must bring to your attention on the second
scan on your left there is a handmade small quilt inner case protector and
showing an angel with a gold heart above her. As well there are other watchmaker
onion papers. I was taken back a bit that the quilt as it is probably 175 years
and in amazing condition. This is a custom enamel dial and it has been repaired
for sure. The name on this original dial is Cephas Bartle. As you can see on the
case the hallmarks are crisp and clean. The hallmarks are from Birmingham UK and
from the year 1814. The hands are solid gold and the minute hand is original and
repaired. The high dome glass crystal is a bulls eye period crystal and extra
clean. The outer sterling silver case is with perfect hinges and it is 58mm
across. The inner sterling silver case is 47mm across. The movement as you can
see is a verge escapement and just freshly restored remember they never kept
good time at all. The chain has been carefully looked at under a microscope and
oiled properly. The main spring is clean and crisp as well the click on the
chain cylinder is clean and perfect. All teeth on the crown wheel are pointed
and sharp. The balance cock is large and well engraved as the scans show you.
All hinges again are with a perfect snap sound and truly a nice remarkable chain
fusee piece well restored and ready to go.
